Wearable Maxis Feet by simminglena are a MAJOR lifesaver for everyone like me, who can't live without feet replacements, but loves using socks without shoes in outfits for sleep/home.

you just put on maxis feet like shoes in any outfit that needs them, and your socks become nice and cute. no more weird toed socks! can't recommend this mod enough.

(they work with all feet replacements, not just necrodog's, i have different ones, and they're perfectly compatible and seamless)

[Reshade] Changing CAS BG Colors w/ Edited Chromakey.fx

I hope this preview is intriguing enough :D Since all this is pretty new, I'll just include colors that I've released for my CAS BGs so far. A more detailed info coming in the future, and of course, more color variations!

// Requirements

Reshade: any version should work fine (preferably newer) as long as you have the full add-on support installed, which will be used by 2 things:

ShaderToggler: allows you to hide the CAS background mesh & mirrors so that you can use this shader without it cutting into those.

REST: clears UI of any reshade shaders & prevents certain shaders from affecting alpha textures. If you want the shader to work like a proper BG, this will be necessary.

⚠️ If you had installed these 2 add-ons in the past, I've updated both posts so you'll need to reinstall the whole thing. Fixed crashing issue in REST & added toggle groups to hide CAS BG & mirrors in ShaderToggler.

// How to install

Unlike regular CAS backgrounds, you'll be installing this the same way as you would with Reshade shaders. And just like those, you can do all the things below while the game is running!

Go to reshade-shaders > Shaders > make a custom folder. This will be a place where you can put this (and future) Chromakey shaders together.

In the Reshade panel, add the newly created folder under the Effect search paths so that it can recognize its contents. I've put mine in "_Nondefault"

DL the edited Chromakey.fx shader and save it in the custom folder.

Reload your Reshade panel. Option should now show up in your shader list!

Use in CAS

Simply change the color settings to whichever color you'd like. For this shader the options are rather limited, but with how editable this file is, it can open up to much more options!

// For alpha users

Make sure you have the REST add-on and my settings installed . Otherwise, the shader will just cut through the mesh.

Sul sul! I’m Bree aka Sage, a relatively new simmer, started playing Sims 4 about a year ago. What I enjoy about the Sims 4 is the amount of creativity that it unlocks. No two simmers play the game the same way. No two simmers game look the same. The almost endless amount of possibilities is what I enjoy the most. Currently my sim-style is maxis mix, using alpha cc where I see fit. I enjoy all aspects of the game, from CAS, to building, to story-telling. I’m still fairly new, so my style and gameplay style is still adapting, but feel free to follow along for the journey or to be moots ♥ Lately I’ve been focusing on upping my CAS game, so you’ll probably mainly be seeing posts of sims I create for awhile.

How do you duplicate cc to put them in another category? I remember you doing a tutorial for this a while ago but I unfortunately can't find it anymore.

Drop your cc into the S4S mods folder, NOT your sim's mods folder.

Open S4S. Click on 'CAS' Create CAS Standalone.

Sort by CONTENT > Custom. Everything in your s4s mods folder will show up. Hold down shift before clicking to ensure that all swatches are selected. Name file.

Go to TOOLS > MODDING > Embed all externally referenced resources ( CAS )

Now, switch to Categories. Change your outfit type. Apply to all.

Save.

Repeat if desired.

THIS WILL NOT change uv-texture spaces, only re-sort items in CAS. If something conflicts with another object, you need to edit the uv-map in blender.

Hello, sorry for the unexplained absence, don't worry I'm not dead! Thank you for all the kind messages worried about me, I really appreciate it and didn't realise so many many cared about me and my CC <33 Since my last post of course the Sims 4 decided to update and break all my food retextures, I've finally gotten around to fixing it.

I was able to get this working on my desktop pc, but sadly not my laptop. It seems to be because in addition to my GeForce RTX 3050ti, I also have an integrated Intel graphics card too, so the display settings have to be altered through Intel Control Panel. If anyone finds a workaround please let me know. Until then, guess I'll be sticking to SRWE when on the go.

mutt's guide to using dsr on ts4, with pictures!!!

ok so, dsr is a thing available for nvidia gpus that allows you to take veeery high resolution screenshots of games without much trouble, like this

it's an alternative to srwe, as it plays nicer with a lot of reshade shaders and is just, generally more nice to use! let me teach you how to use it - full tutorial with pictures for every step under the cut (im sorry its too long without the cut)

step 1: right click your desktop and open the nvidia control panel

step 2: go here (adjust desktop size and position)

step 3: make sure your settings are set as follows! this is important

step 4: now, go here (change resolution)

step 5: under change resolution, click on this button (highlighted with a red square)

step 6: in the windows that appears, make sure that "enable resolutions not exposed by display" is ticked! this is very important! (again, highlighted in red - it should look like this)

step 7: now, click on "create custom resolution"

step 8: this is where you set your desired resolution, and where i get a bit rambly; so, in my opinion, there is ZERO reason to go above normal 4K for TS4, as it's generally not a really high-poly game and it has rather simple graphics. you can fuck around a lot here, but if you don't feel like it, here are my settings - this will give you 4K screenshots. NOTE: THE REFRESH RATE DOESN'T NEED TO BE 75! SET IT TO WHATEVER THE REFRESH RATE OF YOUR MONITOR IS!

step 9: now, click on test

step 10: let the thing load, and after it's done, a window like this should pop up.. but yknow, in your language. click on "yes" (or accept or ok!! idk mine's in russian; basically, the button highlighted here!)

step 11: click "ok" in the window that pops up! like this! afterwards, close the nvidia panel

step 12: open the sims 4 and go into game options, then into graphics

step 13: set your "display type" as "fullscreen", like this

step 14: under "resolution", select whatever resolution you setup earlier; in my case it's 4K, so if you used the same resolution, your settings should look like this

step 15: click on apply changes!

AND UR DONEE!! WAHOOIEE!! now, take your screenshot using reshade, and then go back into sims settings and set it back to what you usually play at, then apply changes!

every time you need to take an HD screenshot, simply open game settings and use your custom resolution! that's it, have fun :3
